Stamping Station – Bold and Beautiful

Welcome to this month’s Stamping Station hop where this month we go Bold and Beautiful.

One fabulous bold colour combination is Coastal Cabana and Real Red, which had me thinking of Strawberries.

Starting with a Coastal Cabana card base and mat layer, I added texture using the Ladybug Picnic 3D Embossing Folder. Roughening up the edges with the blade of my scissors added further texture.

Layering up the sentiment shape dies, I layered a basic white panel upon Pretty Peacock. To add interest I used two ink colours for my sentiment. Inking the base of the sentiment with Real Red and the top section with Secret Sea. It’s easy enough done when you hang the stamp over the edge of the ink pad.

Using Two-tone cardstock, I set to work die cutting three strawberries and the leaf tops from the Made with Sweetness Die set before blending ink for shadow. Two shades of red for the strawberries and old olive for the leaves.

Layering up my sentiment panels and berries, I proceeded to adhere them in place using a mix of wet glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A white bow and linen thread bow were added behind the middle strawberry. White die cut flowers were added and yellow embellishment gems added for centres.

A final scattering of sequins gave that little touch of glimmer.

A bold and beautiful combination of colours with beautifully juicy strawberries.
