Stampin’ Fancy Friday – Inspired by Water Challenge

This month at the Stampin’ Fancy Friday we share creations Inspired by Water.

The Stampin’ Fancy Friday Challenge this month is all about water and I lean towards the April Paper Pumpkin kit.

The Relaxing Retreat Bundle by Stampin’ Up! beautifully compliments the Waterside Retreat Paper Pumpkin kit.

Taking one of the Paper Pumpkin card bases, I turned the card base inside out and added a central fold to produce a Z fold card. The blue anchor panel for the focal point came from the Paper Pumpkin kit and blended perfectly. The Waterside Retreat DSP offers a great wave effect pattern that I die cut using the Stylish Shape circular dies. A smaller circular die was used for my sentiment panel, die cut from Basic White cardstock.

Using a blending brush and Balmy Blue Ink, I added a smudge of ink centrally to my sentiment panel. Secret Sea was used to stamp my sentiment within.

From a mixture of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive, I die cut 6 of the Reed images. The tops of the reeds were coloured using both light and dark Peacan Pie Blends Pen.

Fussy cutting three fish and some ores, I prepared to assemble my cluster.

Raising the fish on dimensional allowed me to tuck the reed in behind.

A loop Linen Thread bow was added behidn the sentiment panel to help create movement.

Die cutting the same size circular panel as the circle of waves, I blended some ink to the top right quarter before adhering to the inside of my card. By ensuring that these two circles overlap perfectly, allowed me to ensure that the added reeds on the inside, would pop out from behind the sentiment panel.
