I’m Mikaela, the founder of The Crafty oINK Pen, and a former Air Hostess. To satisfy my love of all things creative, I would happily seek out craft stores around the globe.
In 2009, I moved from Brighton to Cambridgeshire after marrying my wonderful husband. Keen to find like-minded people, I tracked down a local Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator and joined a group. I quickly made new crafting friends I loved meeting with them each month.
My passion for the products continued to grow, and in March 2012, following the birth of our son I joined. Buying my Starter Kit, saw me hang up my wings to become a Demonstrator myself.
Over time, my business grew as I built a wonderful circle of friendships.
Why The Crafty oINK Pen?
I’m often asked how my business name came about. Living in a barn-style home overlooking fields on the land of a former pig farm got me thinking. The word INK tucked neatly inside oINK, felt like the perfect fit!
The name stuck instantly the moment I said it out loud—and it’s been part of my creative journey ever since.
Where I am at now
Today, I host monthly craft classes in the village of Spaldwick and at Dunelm Mill in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. I also run all-day events and overnight retreats in and around the area, including at Kettering Park Hotel & Spa in Northamptonshire.
Over the past 14 years, my business has grown alongside an amazing community of ladies who attend my events, as well as my team members based across the country.
While I’ve loved travelling the world, nothing compares to the joy I feel when someone leaves a class relaxed, happy, and inspired after a few hours of crafting. It’s a special kind of reward—and one I truly cherish. Crafting has brought me so much relaxation and happiness, and I love sharing what feels like one of life’s best-kept secrets.
My Achievements
Over the years, I’m incredibly proud to have earned four Stampin’ Up!® Incentive Trips … unforgettable experiences that reflect the growth of my business and the support of my wonderful community.
Please note that the claims published here are not representative of typical Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. The level of sales to achieve this result requires significant work and is accomplished by a substantially small percentage of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.
Top Achiever
In November 2017, I was awarded the title of #6 UK Top Overall Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator for my performance.
Artisan Design Team
Another highlight of my journey has been serving on the Stampin’ Up!® Artisan Design Team, an incredible opportunity to be part of a global group of demonstrators, sharing creativity and inspiration.
