Garden Meadow Fun Fold Shed Card

Need a card for a gardening lover? Look no further than this Garden Meadow Fun Fold Shed card that I’m sharing with you today.

The perfect card for someone who’s an avid gardener, someone with an allotment or someone about to retire. This fun fold card folds flat for posting but twists to become this stand alone 3D card to adorn a mantlepiece.

When folded flat, this card fits into a standard C6 Envelope.

How to Make

Such a fun fold tht’s actually easier to make than you’d think. I’ve shared a Video on how to make a Birdhouse yesterday, using the Winterly Tree Tops Bundle and Country Birdhouse Bundle for a christmas card. You can find that video linked below.

Changing up the decoration, I decided to make this Box Card into a little gardening shed. The various fun elements from the Garden Meadow Bundle were perfect for this card.

Creating the base in Pecan Pie, I added additional horizontal score lines to act as wood panels. Using Versamark Ink, for a subtle image, I stamped a small woodgrain image across these panels. I could have used the ‘ground’ image from the Garden Meadow set had I realised in time.

Pebble Path cardstock, stamped with the speckled image from Country Birdhouse, to form grit, was the perfect roof colour.

A simple wood slat door was added by raising it on Dimensionals and additional wood panel details were added to the eaves. To the right of the shed, I added a faux window from Early Espresso cardstock, layered with Window Sheet and surrounded it with additional wood paneling.

The various fun elements were stamped using Black Memento on Basic White cardstock and coloured using Stampin’ Blends. Die cutting these, gave perfect borders around the edges of each image that I stuck or raised on Dimensionals around the little shed.

Finally, a sentiment was added to a Basic White back panel, where I could write my message. A couple of Brushed Brass Butterflies were added for that subtle embellishment.
