Stamping Sunday – Unfold Fun Folds

Welcome to this month’s Stamping Sunday hop where we share Unfold Fun Folds. I create a Pop up 3D Box Card using the Country Birdhouse and the Winterly Tree Tops Bundles.

I enjoy a fun fold that doesn’t need explaining to open … one that will pop up, swing open or come together with ease. This unfold fun fold, folds flat for posting but easily swings into it’s 3D house shape with ease.

I made use of both the Country Birdhouse Bundle and the Winterly Tree Tops Bundle to decorate this little Fun Fold.

The Designer Series Paper used to cover the base of the card comes from the Country Woods pack. A fabulous pack of woodgrain papers that felt so appropriate to use. The bird and floral embellishment was stamped with Black Memento onto Basic Beige cardstock before colouring.

Some simple colouring with nominal blending saw these images come to life quickly before die cutting. Stamping onto Basic Beige cardstock eliminated the stark white you’d get around each image.

A simple sentiment was stamped upon the back using Poppy Parade ink and a greeting from the Greetings of the Season stamp set.

Once ready to mail, the birdhouse twists and folds completely flat and fits in a standard size envelope.
