Ornamental Christmas Techniques with non Traditional Colours

Non Traditional colours were used for this modern Christmas Card made using the Ornamental Christmas Suite.

This beautiful suite comes in Black and White with touches of Gold Foil. Beautifully stunning on it’s own but equally beautiful with ink added.

Starting with a die cut tree from the Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper, I blended ink across it. Blending brushes and Ink helped create a wonderful ombre effect using three shades of green ink. Lemon Lime Twist covered the entire tree, blending into Granny Apple Green before finishing with Old Olive. Incidentally, Old Olive was used at the base to add shading.

My tree would sit upon a simple white die cut circular panel, to allow it to stand out. In total contrast, I blended ink to a matting layer cut from another sheet of Designer Series Paper. The lightest shade was Petunia Pop, moving into Berry Burst and darkening the bottom with Blackberry Bliss. This sat perfectly upon a Blackberry Bliss cardbase.

A gold foil pot, star and baubles were cut and added, before a simple white heat embossed sentiment was added.
