This week’s Global Design Project challenge #GDP521 is a Colour Challenge.

With three beautifully clean colours, I decided to create a fresh birthday card for a friend overseas.
A Petal Pink striped piece of Mixed Media Designer Series Paper formed the start of my project. Added a matting layer to a card base of the same colour, I knew that it had to be tulips that formed my focal point.
Stamping the tulips from the Mixed Florals Stamp Set with Black Memento ink on Basic White cardstock, I proceeded to colour. The three challenge colours in Stampin’ Blends, were used to colour my image.

Die cut with the Mixed Floral Dies, a separate layer of foliage was cut from Granny Apple Green.
My entire focal point was adhered to a Die cut circle created with the Spotlight on Nature Dies.

A simple bold sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set was stamped with Black Memento and added on Dimensionals. This sentiment sat over a narrow white ribbon bow.

Finally a scattering of Petal Pink Embellishments were added.
