This month at the Stampin’ Fancy Friday we we’re Pretty in Plaid.
The Stampin’ Fancy Friday Challenge this month has all been about Plaid. This card was shared to the Fancy Friday pages a few weeks back but I realised that I’d not shared it here until today.
Loving a Snowglobe and the Encircled in Nature Bundle, I knew I wanted to team these up. The trees within this bundle remind me of the mountain scenes in Scotland, so a scotish vibe was what I hoped for.
Starting with a matting layer of Misty Moonlight, I set to stamping the Sketch Plaid image using Night of Navy and blending the edges of the cardstock with the same colour. The snowglobe die from the Snowy Wonder bundle was used to die cut my aperture.
A square of Smoky Slate cardstock was used to stamp the wintery trees upon. White ink was blended downwards into the trees with a hint of Night of Navy added to the top of the sky. Using first and second generation stamping of the trees, helped give depth to this forest.
Shaker Card
Making this into a Shaker card, I added mini Snowflake Embellishments within, adhering just a few to always remain visible.
A gentle splatting of white ink was added to the Plaid front before the window sheet was added and a splattering of Embossing Paste to the top right of the globe once assembled.
The same Embossing Paste was added to the various festive sprigs and foliage die cut from the Golden Greenery Dies. Adhered behind a double Black & Very Vanilla Gingham Bow and mounted upon a Country Woods Die cut base.
My simple little sentiment, heat embossed white on Real Red came from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set.
