Faux Embossed Encircled in Nature

This Faux Embossed Encircled in Nature card was designed for an 3rd October publication with Die Cutting Essentials (Issue 121).

Faux Embossed Panel

This fabulous technique shows off the delicate die cut pieces within the bundle, in a very subtle way. Die cutting your chosen Designer Series Paper and adhering to the same paper panelt, gives that illusion of having been Embossed. Backing your paper with Adhesive Sheet before die cutting, makes life easier for ensuring your images lay flat.

I adhered die cut foliage all the way up the front of my card, tone on tone, so give the illusion of embossing. From here, I added torn edges to my cardstock and papers to give that rustic feel.

A Gold Heat Embossed sentiment from the Siimply Said Mix & Match Stamp Set was embossed upon an Early Espresso label. This label shape was die cut from the Greetings of the Season Die pack. Brown helped bring warmth and richness to this colour palette.

A cluster of die cut foliage was added behind the sentiment panel. A Linen Thread Bow and some Pecan Pie clear Ribbon Embellishments were added.

A simple and effective little card which has been faux embossed using the most effective little technique.
