This week’s Global Design Project #GDP369 is a colour Combo challenge. Three fabulous colours for a challenge we hope you’ll play along with.
Each month the Global Design Project offer a Colour Challenge. The winner is invited for the following month’s Colour Challenge, to be Guest Designer and this month, that’s me. A huge honour, this invitation blew me away.
This month we’ve an exciting set of colours to create with and I couldn’t wait to set to work on this project.
My #GDP369 Project
I had two ideas in mind when I set to work on my project. My first project, although fun, didn’t match my excitement but this one, sings true to my heart.
Blending Ink and creating mood in a project is something I love to do, so starting with a Balmy Blue piece of cardstock to blend upon was a must. First adding the tone on tone ink around the edges, I layered this with Night of Navy.
Adding until the depth drew me in, I then stamped my sentiment from Jingle Jingle Jingle in Pumpkin Pie onto white cardstock and fussy cut. Splattering my sponged matting layer with both water and then White Ink (drying in between), gaves the illusion of snow and stars. A single Wonderful Snowflake added to these faux snowflakes and became the backdrop for my sentiment.
Adhering the letters playfully brought a fun element to this card. A white heat embossed sentiment extension was added on black and fussy cut. Jingle by name, Jingle by nature, Two Jingle Bells had to be added with Baker’s Twine. To complete my card, a few scattered sequins were added.

Such a creative card! What a great colour combo and background, and I love how the “jingle” pops off of the dark background. What did you use to splatter the white ink?
This is a gorgeous and fun card! I love the depth of the colors You used for the shading. It really does draw the eye to the “jingle”. It makes for a great masculine card too! Tfs!
