When our Team, The Stampin’ STYlettes, gather together, we engage in Team Swaps and that’s what happened this past weekend. Free as a Bird had me think of Spring and my Team gathering together for a good old catch up.
Team Swaps help provide inspiration and engagement and offer each of us samples that we might be able to use.
I decided to revert back to the often forgotten Annual Catalogue for a firm favourite set, Free as a Bird. Following a sketch layout, I pulled in some gingham check paper from the Pansy Petals pack in Pale Papaya.
Wanting a panel or banner for my focal point to sit upon, had me turn to the Sports Event Dies. These are a great fun size with beautiful stitched detail.
A swoosh of Pale Papaya Ribbon coordinated nicely with the Designer Series Paper backdrop.
Stamping the large image from Free as a Bird with Black Memento Ink, I set to colouring with our Alcohol Blends Pens. There is a need to use a water based ink to avoid the ink colours bleeding.
Sticking to a super soft palette, I coloured the Free as a Bird image in using Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, Old Olive and Calypso Coral.

Now we are able to get together again in person, we have these gatherings about once a quarter. Sharing our love for crafting, exchanging ideas is what it’s all about.
