Let’s Get Hopping #50 Shaking things up with Tulip Dies

The Let’s Get Hopping Team are Shaking things up this month, as we move to Instagram. With our inaugural Instahop I decide to turn the Tulip Dies on their head.

This month we’re taking our creative shares over to Instagram where we’ll now be taking part in an Instahop. We hope that you’ll be able to join us over there but I’ll still be sharing my inspiration here for those who like to see a project in full. This month’s Theme – Shaking Things Up

Whether it be a Shaker card, an unusual way of using products or tools, we’re Shaking things up.

The Flowering Tulips, was a new bundle on my desk that I’d only just started playing with. Enjoying building the tulips, I could see another flower in the Tulip Dies.

Snowdrops are a beautifully delicate flower that we’ll start to see early in spring. There were several of the Tulip shapes that held upside down, had me thinking of Snowdrops. It was simply the angle of the stem and its connection to the flower head that I needed to perfect.

The Pansy Dies offered just the Die.

Snipping off the spikes from the head of the Pansy stem, I was able to simulate the look of a Snowdrop. This Framed Home Decor piece was created from Thick Basic White cardstock and backed with Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper.

Keeping colours fresh, I pulled in some Highland Heather ribbon and cardstock for my sentiment panel. Heat Embossing white, I added the Birthday sentiment across the bottom of this frame along with a linen bow.

I’m really pleased with the outcome of this project and hope that you like it also.
