I’m fresh home from the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip and what a trip it was. I’ll prepare another post to give you more inside information, but for now, I’m sharing my Incentive Trip Swaps with you.
Like all Stampin’ Up! events, we have the opportunity to take part in Swaps, which is a great chance to share inspiration with others. Sadly before we set off for the Greek Isles, I had need to create a Sympathy card for a dear friend. Sympathy cards can be so difficult to create, so not to make something too depressing. I wanted to create something that was calming and pleasant to look at … cheerful in a respectful way.
The new stamp set, Beautiful Friendship offers the most gorgeous flowers for stamping. They are perfect for teaming with the Masking Technique, which I decided to use for this card. I also choce a colour palette that was fresh and calming … you could say, serene.
I stamped this beautiful sentiment, from the stamp set, Woven Heirlooms, using the new In Colour, Pretty Peacock. Masking up this sentiment, I randomly stamping the various flowers and leaves around the edge before matting and layering. I added a flash of Silver Foil for that element of lift and a few randomly placed pearls for that finishing touch.
A simple little card that I hope would bring calmness to anyone in their time of pain and sorrow.
I hope all that received my swap on the cruise will find inspiration from this card. It was a true pleasure sharing the trip with you all. I’ve some fond memories that I’ll be sharing in another post … but until then …
