Welcome to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop for July, where this month we are showcasing the Perennial Essence Suite. We were all given these products to inspire you with a variety of creations and inspire we will.
I’m sure the lovely Manuela has already inspired you this month with her beautiful creations. She makes some beautiful things and I love her style.
For me, the Perennial Essence Designer Series Papers are a stand-alone piece that just sing to me. Appearing like a painting by Monet, these papers are so very beautiful that they really need to be the focus. Being Summer and often the season for Weddings, I wanted to focus on gift giving and special occasions.
I used to love our Kraft paper, so was delighted to see a come back in these NoteCards and Envelopes. I also loved to see the addition of the little Stampin’ Up! Kraft packing boxes. A little small, I decided to join two together and disguise the join with this stunning Designer Series Paper. It worked beautifully and looked even more stunning with the addition of the Band Together Dies. Oh my word, the detail of these dies is just stunning.
I threaded the beautiful Organdy Striped Ribbon through the tabs at each side and tied in a bow to the left. I teamed this Petal Pink bow with the Vellum Stamped and Punched flower. The little Floral Centres are a bright yellow colour, but I took a Dark Rich Razzleberry Blends Pen to them to darken them up.
I wanted to create a second little box that used a Kraft Card as the base and the beautiful Designer Series Papers as the top. Being smaller, I didn’t feel this box needed a flower. I did add some punched leaves using the Leaf Punch that’s carried over from the previous catalogue. This punch also coordinates with the leaf found in the Floral Essence Stamp Set in this suite.
Finally a card and a chance to showcase this beautiful paper backed by the Kraft Card base. A very simple card with coordinating lined envelope, it didn’t need any more.
I was so unsure about these papers and yes they are bold, but they are utterly gorgeous too.
Now you’ll want to hop on over to see what Narelle has in store for us this month.
Have a great day and enjoy the rest of the hop.
