Team Challenge – Sketch Challenge using Scenic Adventures

Our current Creative Team Challenge follows a Sketch layout, and I chose to interpret it with the Scenic Adventure Bundle.

There’s something so satisfying about using scraps from your desk or leftovers from a class project. Today’s card came together entirely from those little extras.

With a few pre-cut class elements, I built a scenic design using the Scenic Adventure Bundle. I blended Mossy Meadow Ink across the trees to add depth and shadow. For contrast, I stamped Misty Moonlight on Azure Afternoon to create a striking river.

Once my scene was complete, I die cut it with the Spotlight on Nature circular die. I used the same die to cut the Country Woods Designer Series Paper, which I layered behind the scene.

To bring in texture, I embossed the Pecan Pie matting layer with the Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. Before adhering the Country Woods layer, I wrapped it with a length of Linen Thread. I then lifted the circular die-cut panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals for extra dimension.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed in white on Basic Black cardstock and raised it over the Linen Thread bow. A soft scattering of neutral embellishments finished the card perfectly.
