When presented with a colour challenge that resembles a Sunset, I couldn’t resist but rise to the challenge.

Dear friend Emma Goddard gave the suggestion of these amazing colours that were inspired by the sunset she’d seen on holiday. I chose to create my own sunset over a mountainous scene.

I set to work die cutting the grasses, trees and mountains from three of the five colours. Layering them up by adhering together with liquid glue, I took the largest Spotlight on Nature Die to die cut my image.

The smallest Spotlight on Nature Die was the perfect size for the sun. In readiness, Dimensionals were adhered to the back of the circular focal point.
For greater coordination a Blackberry Bliss card base was used to tie in with the grass layer. This was layered with a Basic White matting layer.

Finally, taking a Blending Brush and Peach Pie Ink, I blended some ink to shine from behind the sun.
Two Trees were die cut from Basic Black cardstock that was also used for my sentiment. A nice bold white heat embossed sentiment on black cardstock with a Black Baker’s Twine bow nested beneath.
A fabulous palette of colours to use with this mountainous scene, I thoroughly enjoyed creating this card.
