Happiest Days full of colour

The Happiest Days are often filled with colour. Here I blended three beautifully soft colours together to create this pretty little card.

Using Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and Pool Party … three beautiful colours on their own but three harmonious colours put together.

Starting with a Pool Party card base, I added a die cut layer of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. The Textured Notes Dies gave just enough detail to frame the three colours I’d selected to use.

Using a Water Painter I added a wash of colour to the die cut matting layer.

The Happiest Days Stamp Set offers this super cute bug that I stamped three times onto Basic White cardstock. Matching up my ink colours to watercolour washes, I stamped the spotty wings full strength and the lower wings with second generation. Two step stamping makes colouring images like this a breeze, it just left me to fussy cut the images out and adhere them across my card.

Using the same Black Memento Ink, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and fussy cut it close. This was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise the panel. A scattering of embellishments were added to finish this simple little card.
