Global Design Project #GDP484 – Case the Designer Challenge

This week’s Global Design Project challenge#GDP484 is a challenge which sees us CASE the Designer. This month we CASE the talented Janneke de Jong and her beautiful card.

The Global Design Project offers weekly challenges every Monday where the Design Team share their inspiration using Stampin’ Up!® products. As a newly appointed Team Member, I’m excited to share my interpretation of Janneke’s card. I made this card using the Kiddin’ Around Bundle and a reverse of her blended background.

Starting with a panel of basic white, I set to blending the edges with a series of Blue Inks before carefully splattering with water. A gentle splattering of Wink of Stella helped give that little bit of sparkle too.

The Wizard image from the Kiddin’ Around Bundle was stamped onto Basic White cardstock using Black Memento. Using a Waterbased ink allowed me to colour using Alcohol Blends Pens.

Whilst die cutitng the wizard, I die cut a Pecan Pie mat and a set of three silver foil stars.

Edging the blended panel with Basic Black, helped bring further drama to this card. The blue striped Designer Series Paper came from the Countryside Inn pack and worked beautifully with these colours.

A white heat embossed sentiment was stamped and heat set upon a basic black piece of cardstock, which I fussy cut.

A final scattering of sequins added to the sparkle.
