Regal Flora Folded Hug

This Regal Flora card was designed for a recent virtual Christmas Event hosted by our UK Manager, Helen Slimm. A whole day of virtual celebrations peppered with four craft along sessions designed by our 2024 UK Artisans and our two 2025 UK Artisans.

Asked to design with the Regal Flora suite for a craft along, I came up with this card. To start with I cut an inch off of off the opening side of a Blackberry Bliss card base. Two patterns of the Winter Regal Designer Series Paper were cut to mat and layer the front of the card and the inside visible flap of the back.

I used the detailed die cut panel to cut what I used as a white frill down the opening side.

Using the spotty image and the leave, I stamped these using Blackberry Bliss to appear from behind a cluster of flowers.

On basic white cardstock, I stamped the sentiment using Blackberry Bliss and die cut using the sentiment panel. Pretty Peacock was used to stamp leaves onto this sentiment panel and several other leaves onto basic white cardstock. These were then die cut for use later.

Inking up the flowers with Fresh Freesia I added Blackberry Bliss using a Sponge Dauber to the centre of the flowers before die cutting. These flowers were clustered around the sentiment panel that overhung the opening flap.

The dark Berry Burst Blends Pen was used to colour the Striped Irridescent Ribbon that I cut lengthwise in half. This helps yeld two cards for the price of one, whilst lessening the bulk of your bow. This colour worked well with the Foil Embellishments.

Using a mix of Stampin’ Dimensionals, helped bring rise and fall to my flower clusters, giving interest and texture.
