The BBQ Season has started and ours started with a Bistro Burger made by Hubby.
With the weather here in the UK finally picking up, we got to stoke up the BBQ and enjoy a meal alfresco. Homemade Burgers were quite literaly on the cards yesterday, so I couldn’t resist but have my first play with Bistro Burger.
Stamping the image with Black Memento onto basic white cardstock I enjoyed some therapeutic colouring. With Black Memento being water based, I was able to colour using our alcohol based, Stampin’ Blends pens. It’s easy to get carried away into the moment when colouring, so I stopped at the burger and chips.

Stamping the Chips with Crushed Curry ink and colouring with Daffodil Delight, made them appear more realistic.
Once Die cut, I sat my Burger and Chips upon a Die cut presentation board made from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper (DSP). This DSP offers an array of woodgrain papers perfect for a board such as this. The little sauce pot was die cut from Poppy Parade and Window Sheet.

Since the sun had come out, I used a Post It note, a blending brush and some Daffodil Delight ink. Masking and blending in a semi circle, presented some fabulous rays of sunshine. My perfectly fitting sentiment from the Kindest Expressions stamp set was stamped over the top.
A fun, cheerful card with a difference for me … but one I really enjoyed pulling together.
