The Planted Paradise reversible stamp set has been the focus for a recent class of mine. We teamed this stamp set with a new sentiment set from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue called, Simply Said.

Taking a strip of white cardstock and a Stampin’ Blends Pen, I drew lines across the strip. Cutting this in half down the length, I was able to edge the focal panel of this card with a striped edge. This sat upon a layer of Vellum.
Kissing Technique
My central panel had some clever stamping positioned across the front. Mounting three leaf images onto one block and having the large round pot image mounted backwards, I proceeded to start the technique. Inking up the solid surface of the round pot, I then took the leaf images block to the surface of this and carefully stamped. Lifting carefully to avoid smears, was taking away ink from the original flat surface. This was now ready to use. Stamping this onto my white cardstock, stamped the solid image, minus the leaf shapes.

Cleverly twisting and turning this round image, allowed me to disguise the flat top either off the card or behind the plant.
My plant pot was stamped onto white cardstock using Cajun Craze and Old Olive. Additional leaves were stamped using the same green ink onto Old Olive and Granny Apple Green cardstock.
A simple sentiment from the new Simply Said sentiment set was sat over a linen thread bow. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this card and using a technique I’ve not used in a long while.
