This month at the Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop, we are bringing you inspiration from the garden.
Spring is just around the corner and I love the garden at this time, as everything from the garden happens to slowly come to life. If you’ve hopped on over from the lovely Louise Sims, then you’ll have already been inspired and I hope to inspire you further.
I love seeing the garden slowly come to life with Daffodils and see the freshness of lemon and fresh greens. This had me thinking Easter and what better way to bring this feeling alive than creating an Easter Card or two for you.
I turned to the Hello Easter Stamp Set … but how could I ignore the cute characterful bunny from the We Must Celebrate set? I couldn’t … Isn’t he just adorable?!
All too often we stamp a sentiment in a straight line, but here I decided to add it to the side of the oval shape to add interest. “Hello Spring” indeed … although we have been warned of a cold snap here in the UK over these next few weeks. Lets hope it doesn’t kill off the buds that we can see forming out there.
I coloured this cute bunny in using Stampin’ Blends and used the Colour Lifter to reduce and blur the colour across his face.
For me this large Easter egg image lent itself to a quick and simple shaker card using the iridescent sequins. Do you often find that there’s a sheet or two of Designer Series Paper that you really don’t like and fear you’ll never use it? Well don’t be despondent, quite often the other side offers a simple pattern or image that can be easily used and that’s exactly what I’ve done here. Who would have thought that the other side offered images of Bananas.
Well I hope you’ve enjoyed my share from the garden today and I sincerely hope that your garden will soon be looking a little more spring like.
In the meantime, be sure to continue the hop and hop on over to see what Eimear has in store for you. I just feel sure that this hop is going to be jam packed full of amazing inspiration today and I can’t wait to hop on round to take it all in.
Thanks for hopping on by today. Do be sure to leave us a comment and show your appreciation of what we’ve chosen to share with you today.
Enjoy the hop and the rest of the weekend.
