Today I bring you my OnStage Swaps my Lovely Friends and if you see what I’ve done there, you’ll realise that the Stamp Set I used here is indeed … Lovely Friends.
I absolutely love everything about this stamp set. The name, the sentiments and the delicate images and a while back I designed a similar card using a Butterfly shape and thought I’d try similar with a Heart, in the hope of turning this card into perhaps a Valentines card or an Anniversary card.
I do love Crumb Cake Cardstock with crisp white and Real Red.
These were so simple to create with just three ink colours, nominal stamping, a flash of patterned paper and a quick die cut, before a spot of embellishing. I created 50 of these and really wish I’d made another 10 at least.
The Technique
There’s a great popularity out there at the moment with the Eclipse technique, where you die cut an image and raise it up with Dimensions back in it’s original space. You want to do all of your stamping first.
The Gingham designer series paper that I used, came from the Quilted Christmas Stack. Just because it has the word Christmas in it, you really don’t want to overlook it for other occasions. It’s easy to do this.
I came home with some wonderful swaps in exchange for these that I’m loving looking through and gaining inspiration from, but I hope you like the design that I’ve shared with you today.
