Meet the 2025 Artisan Design Team

The 2024 Artisan Design Team would like you to meet, the 2025 Artisan Design Team. Today the 2024 Artisan Design Team hop for the last time together in a way that introduces the new 2025 Team. Each team member has CASED a member of the new team in a way of introducing them to you.

With enthusiasm and with great honour we, the 2024 Artisan Design Team, introduce you all to the incoming 2025 Artisan Design Team. Today I am sharing a card that I cased from the very talented Jay Soriano of Mitosu Crafts.

Having shared the 2023 Artisan Design Team with Jay, I was again deighted to see him return to the Team for the coming year. Looking back through his Instagram account, I found this card that I decided to CASE.

I loved the layout and possibilities it allowed. I also loved the tonal layers of pink tones through to purple that simulated the landscape.

My Case for Jay

Picking up a stamp set, soon to launch in the January to April Mini Catalogue, I landed on this colour palette. Using the Two-Tone Cardstock from the Autumn to Remember 12″ x 12″ pack, enabled the beautiful white torn edges I was able to achieve here.

To bring added texture I embossed two of the panels … One using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and the other the Expossed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. Layering up my torn edges, I flicked White Ink, diluted with water, across the entire matting layer.

Stamping the Toadstool elements on Basic Beige cardstock, helped to soften their appearance. I used Cajun Craze for the Toadstool caps and used a Sponge Dauber to add Early Espresso to the underside. The stems were inked with Crumb Cake and had a touch of Early Espresso added to simulate shadows. Fussy cutting these, I raised the largest on Stampin’ Dimensionals and the back one was stuck flat to the card.

I clustered my focal point across a length of Gold Twisted thread and added some coordinating embellishments.

My sentiment for Jay was obvious from this set for Jay is a master at creating magical pieces. Jay’s talent, really is magical and I emplore anyone who hasn’t yet encountered him to take a look at his website mitosucrafts.com.
