Today we go Around the World on Wednesday with a Technique Challenge. Heat Embossing and Ink Blending had to be included in my Technique share being my two most favourite techniques.

If you’ve hopped over from Danielle, then I’m sure you’ll have been inspired with lots of inspiration.
Starting with the blue woodgrain paper from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper pack, I proceeded to add ink. Darker Night of Navy was blended towards the bottom, working upwards with Misty Moonlight. This gave a gentle ombre effect bringing additional contrast against the white snow.
A dusting from my Embossing Buddy and I stamped Falling Snow over the top using Whisper White Ink. Heat Emobssing this sticky ink, helped strengthen the white of the snowflakes.

The images from Yuletide Village were stamped using Black Memento onto Basic White cardstock. Sticking to a subtle colour palette, I coloured the church in using Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends and added a Soft Sea Foam wreath. Light Lemon Lolly was the perfect colour to illuminate the windows before colouring the trees with yet more Soft Sea Foam.
Paper snips were used to Fussy cut these images, which were raised on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The dark woodgrain paper from Country Woods, was the perfect rustic background for this card.
A simple Gold thread bow sits beneath a Real Red sentiment panel stamped with a sentiment from Hope & Peace. Heat Embossing this sentiment white, helped coordinate it with the white snowflakes.

The dark of the sky, helps bring real mood to the background of this card, which I love and hope you do too.

Next up on our hop around the world this Wednesday is my dear friend Annette, click next to enjoy her inspiration.
Thank you for hopping by today. Enjoy!
