The Lighter than Air suite is adorable both in imagery and in colour. As much as I love the Hot Air Balloons from the Hot Air Balloon Bundle (162755) I wanted to see what else I could create.
Starting with a Bubble Bath card base, I added a matting layer of the same colour, covered with a spotty Vellum. This subtle detail from the Vellum Basics (160839) softened the background and coordinated beautifully with the spotty DSP.
The Lighter than Air Designer Series Paper (162747) generated both the spotty strip and the die cut Hot Air Balloon. A large circle of Basic White cardstock was cut using the Stylish Shape Dies. Die cutting a few clouds to use as a mask, I then added ink using a blending brush. This gave a lovely soft cloudy sky background for my Hot Air Balloon to sit upon.
More die cut clouds and some bunting added further interest and detail to the top section of my card. Using the detailed dies and layering them, I added a stand to the base of my circle. This helped give the illusion of a Crystal Ball. The wish Big sentiment panel helped disguise the join between base and globe.
Blending ink to the sides of the banner, helped give faux curvature to an otherwise flat banner.
Pretty coordinating Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots (162758) helped finish this pretty little card.
