Today we go Around the World on Wednesday with a Sketch Challenge.
I love a Sketch Challenge and I’m sure if you’ve hopped over from Aurélie Fabre then you’ll have enjoyed her share.
This is the sketch that the Team are all working with. It doesn’t have to be square and you can interpret the shapes as you see fit.
I decided to make use of the new Lovely & Sweet Bundle for my share. Starting with a Gray Granite card base, I proceeded to cut a triangle of the Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper to adhere to the bottom right corner.
Taking a Deckled Rectangle Die and another piece of the Nature’s Sweetness DSP, I cut the newsprint paper. Backing this with a slightly smaller rectangle of cardstock, allowed me to elevate this with Dimensionals.
Colouring with Alcohol Pens
Stamping the image of the Cocoa with Black Memento Ink on Basic White cardstock, I set to colouring. Using Alcohol Blends Pens, I coloured the image with a series of browns and greens before die cutting. Again, this was elevated on Dimensionals and off set to the right.
Heat Embossing my chosen sentiment from the Lovely & Sweet Stamp Set white on Pebbled Path, I die cut and snipped down the sentiment banner. I purposely had this overhang the central panel and finished it off with a linen thread bow.
A scattering of basic white die cut flowers were scattered around the card with In-Color Dots added to the centres to coordinate with the papers used.
An enjoyable card to create and one I was very happy with the finished result.
