Today we go Around the World on Wednesday with Watercolour Smooshing.
I love the irregularity of Watercolour Smooshing and watercolouring. It can give a wonderful appearance.
If you’ve joined from the lovely Aurélie then I’m sure you’ve already been spoilt to some great inspiration. I hope to inspire you further with my little creation.
Using Little Dreamers for a thoughtful little cow, I first set to work creating my background. Using a sheet of acetate and some Lost Lagoon Ink tapped on, I spritzed with water before using. Taking this to my pre cut Watercolour Paper, I dabbed and rolled the acetate to move the ink around to create my sky. Allowing it to dry in-between applications, I added more until I was happy with the over all appearance. The same technique was applied with Mossy Meadow for the grass.
Once my background was dry, I took the 2nd largest die from the Stitched with Whimsy set to add detail.
On a second sheet of Watercolour Cardstock, I stamped the cow image from Little Dreamers with Versamark and Heat Embossed Black. Taking both Pecan Pie and Early Espresso, I set to watercolouring this image using a Water Painter before fussy cutting with paper snips.
A White Heat Embossed sentiment from the Best Family Ever stamp set was added on Black cardstock to the top of my card. A scattering of Blooming Pearls and Iridescent Pearls helped to complete this card.
I hope you have enjoyed my share today and that I’ve inspired you to give the Watercolour Smooshing Technique a go.
Next up on our hop around the world this Wednesday is my dear friend Annette Ball. I can’t wait to see what she has to share.
Thank you for hopping by today.
