You Can Create it with Joy of Christmas

You Can Create it this month with our Papercraft kit and the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper.

Our October 2023 packet furnished us with papers from the Joy of Christmas Suite.

I took the Deckled Rectangle Dies to my sheet of Red Check paper, gutting the middle to form a frame. Using the full sheet, I added a mat layer to a white card base and covered the gutted middle with a white embossed panel. The Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder, gave some beautiful festive detail to this layer.

Elevating my red checked frame on Dimensionals, I decided to sit an Old Olive Wreath over the top. The Nature’s Print Dies offer the perfect die for this. From the size piece of cardstock that I had, I was able to die cut one full shape and a couple of half or part wreaths. You’d not notice there were any gaps, for the bow covers one space and a Rhinestone another. It’s amazing what you can cut from a small scrap when you need to.

Completed with a simple sentiment and a Black Gingham Bow, plus a scattering of Red Rhinestones around my wreath.

My second card used a scrap from that Red Check paper as a side detail to this beautiful panel of Designer Series Paper.

Using the Versamark that I was using for my sentiments, I randomly stamped the Fir Sprigs image to the Pecan Pie card front. A simple way of adding detail that doesn’t over take. Leaving this sheet as a whole, I decided to add a simple sentiment panel with the rest of my ribbon.

Heat Embossing Gold on white gives a certain kind of elegance and these sentiments came from the Christmas Classics Stamp Set.

I still had a sheet of Real Red Cardstock and the centre of my checked frame left. These would make for the perfect Gift Tag if I needed one.
