Today we go Around the World on Wednesday with a Colour challenge. This colour challenge had us taking colours from the image that you see below.
I love how this colour challenge takes colours from an image of Paris. Drawing on these beautiful Fall colours, I set to creating with the fabulous Grove Dies.
Looking at this image as a Polaroid image, I wanted to recreate something similar but with the Grove Dies.
First Die cutting the Trees from Watercolour Paper, I cut this down to be the witch of my faux polaroid frame. Using a Water Painter, I was able to add colour to the trees in a variegated effect. Using the other half of the watercolour sheet as a background panel, I gave a swish of colour to a vibrant sky.
Mini Dimensionale were used to elevate the trees and the smallest Deer but the sky and largest deer were stuck flat. This helped give a wonderful feeling of depth of field.
My faux polaroid was cut from Basic White cardstock leaving the bottom section for my sentiment. This sentiment was taken from the Lasting Joy stamp set and was stamped using Pebbled Path Ink before adhering with Dimensionals to sit elevated on a Tahitian Tide Card base.
A Linen Thread Bow was added and some sequin embellishments to the trees to complete my card.
Add a layer of window sheet and this card could so easily be turned into a fabulous shaker card.
I hope you have enjoyed my share and that I’ve inspired you to get creative with the Grove Dies.
Next up on our hop around the world this Wednesday is my dear friend Annette Ball. I look forward to seeing what she has created.
Thank you for hopping by today.

So sweet! I love the Tahitian tide with the fall colors. So vibrant!
Thank you so much. I’ve not often used Tahitian Tide but it worked so well with these colours x
Oh that’s right, it would be fun as a Shaker Card! – although as I don’t really like shaker cards, I prefer your version ^^ And I love the depth of field and the grove aspect so much. It’s a lovely card!
The faux polaroid look is great and would be fun to use with other sests too. Your colours are so vibrant but I think it’s the inspired addition of tahitian tide that’s really popped it so much. Love it!
