The Artisan Design Team have recently been creating with the Joy of Noel Bundle. Part of the Joy of Christmas suite this beautiful bundle offers festive foliage and letters to spell out Noel. The papers are beautifully traditional but with some useful basics and some with a fabulous contemporary twist.
Starting with a matting layer of the music sheet, I set to darkening up the edges with Copper Clay Ink. This helped to create an atmosphere when I added my wreath.
Repeatedly stamping the arc of foliage and colouring with Blends Pens before die cutting, I assembled these in a semi circle on the card. Adhered with Dimensinoals and overlapped in places, allowed space to tuck in some die cut pine leaves.
A white heat embossed sentiment on Basic Black anchored this card.
My second card started with an Old Olive matting layer that I stamped the spray of foliage with before heat embossing. Stamping with Versamark, a sticky ink, I was able to sprinkle with the Gold embossing powder before heat setting. Taking a Blending Brush and Mossy Meadow Ink, I blended ink to the edges. In places, this was stamped over with decorative image.
Splattering water across the cardstock and scattering with Gold Embossing Powder, allowed me to heat set some random splatters of gold to grunge things up a little.
Stamping some foliage onto Vellum and heat embossing, I added further sprigs to a cluster now forming. Touches of Gold Foil helped bring further gold touches before a loop of Black & Very Vanilla Gingham check ribbon was added. Set upon this I had die cut the word Noel from the Real Red checked paper with Foam Adhesive Sheeting. This helped raise the letters and give structure to them.
A scattering of Red Rhinestones and a White heat embossed sentiment on Black and my card was complete.
Create as Tree Ornaments or Tags the choice is yours. Taking the Stylish Shape Dies, I first cut a background of the Music sheet before cutting several layers of Copper Clay. Using one circle die smaller, I was able to create this hoop effect from the copper clay. Layering up several die cut hoops, gave strength but I could have cut using the Adhesive Back Foam sheet instead.
Adding a loop of Jute Thread in a coordinating colour, I then die cut my Pine Leaves from Old Olive and Garden Green. Shimmery White Embossing Paste was added to give the illusion of snow. Once dry, this was set in place and a Gingham bow added. A white heat embossed sentiment was added on Black cardstock to give a Joyous lift.
A traditional vintage vibe was set out for and I hope you’ll agree, achieved. I do hope you like the inspiration that I share today.
