You Can Create it with Bright & Beautiful

You Can Create it this month with our Papercraft kit and Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper.

Our August 2023 packet furnished us with three pieces of Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper, to accompany our incidentals packet.

Pulling inspiration from a card I’d seen shared by the talented Yvonne Spikmans van Bruggen, I couldn’t resist but use Taco Fiesta. The perfect combination of party themed fun, this and Beautiful Balloons go hand in hand.

Starting with a Lemon Lolly cardbase, I cut my Designer Series Paper to create a matting layer. The size allows for a border that helps tie the colour of the card to the patterned paper. From here, I stamped and die cut a cluster of images. A Lemon Lolly Tag anchored my collage of images, a balloon, pulled in a darker colour some fringing brought texture and the piñata … well. Having been inspired by Yvonne’s card, I couldn’t resist but include this cute Piñata on this card.

Stamped onto basic white cardstock and coloured with coordinating blends to keep the theme going. An explosion of fun and vibrancy and all created from very little card and paper.

My second card was created as a Slimline card (DL). Cutting my DSP in half, I was able to create a join in the middle that was hidden by some fringing. Two of the largest balloons were die cut with a sentiment added to the front one.

Some coordinating Ribbon and Twine were added for movement and a couple of lemon lolly stars for that little punch of sparkle.

A fun duo of cards to have created and some wonderful papers to create with. I hope my creations have inspired you to get creative with the Bright & Beautiful papers in a slightly different way.
