The Stamping Through the Catalogue Team are today showcasing the Just my Type stamp set. A fun set offering some comic like images.
Having once owned a Typewriter in a kind of Pool Party colour, it felt only right to first stamp it in that colour. Fussy cutting this with our Paper Snips, I quickly decided that I wanted this image to sit amongst foliage.
Stamping a the foliage image with a mixture of Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green helped give variation. I stamped these images around in an arc to simulate hugging the typewriter before hand cutting with my snips.
Adding a faux sheet of paper to my typewriter gave me the space for a sentiment. I decided to avoid a sentiment per se and decided upon a simple heart, which was stamped in Flirty Flamingo.
Now to assemble my card. I set a dry embossed matting layer to my cardbase, helping to give additional texture and interest. Upon this I added a sheet of Designer Series Paper that I’d used the fun spiral bound die on. This made it look like a note pad was sat behind. Layering up my pre stamped and cut images, showed me exactly where I wanted to add some random white flowers. These were stamped with Smoky Slate and hand cut before adding embellishments to the centres.
A sweet little card that came together quite quickly and being sentiment free, is suitable for so many occasions. I hope you like.
