Creation Station – Beach Life

Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop, where this month’s creations are all about Beach Life.

If you’ve hopped over from the talented Martin Stone, then I just know you’ll have been inspired by his creativity.

I chose to use the Beauty of the Deep for my creative share, using the stunning coral image for my first card.

Emboss Resist Technique

Using Versamark Ink and White Embossing Powder, I heat set this stunning coral image around the edge of this Boho Blue matting layer. Using the Emboss Resist Technique, I then blended Boho Blue Ink around the edges with a Blending Brush. This helps to create atmosphere to my card.

Speckling dots were added around the edges before a linen thread was taken across my matting layer and tied in a bow. A calming card that I found perfectly fitting for a Sympathy card and as such pulled in a sentiment from the Something Fancy Stamp Set. Heat Embossing white on Crumb Cake, I set this Banner over a scrap of Designer Series Paper in Misty Moonlight and some opal embellishments.

Continuing the theme I stamped the Coral image with Boho Blue and blended inks across the bottom of the panel. I added speckles and a sentiment using the same ink colour before heat embossing white the Anchor onto Crumb Cake cardstock. The Dies within this bundle die cut the Anchor perfectly.

The natural wavy trim was perfect for splitting to give a weathered look to a rope and again the flat adhesive backed pearls completed my card.

Two calming cards that could be made so easily into masculine Birthday Cards if needed.  I hope I have inspired you today with this bundle.
