The Let’s Get Hopping Team are sharing Lots of Thanks with this month’s theme.
This month we share lots of thanks and I show my thanks for the returning colour, Pretty Peacock. Delighted to see the return of my all time favourite colour with this year’s Colour Refresh, I knew I had to create with it.
Melody Hyde, one of our Concept Artists recently shared a card that had a fabulous tiled background. The background reminded me of Parquet flooring and I knew I wanted to recreate something similar.
The Scalloped Contour Dies provided the perfect tile shape that I cut in 5 different colours of cardstock. Adhering these tiles onto a matting layer of Very Vanilla allowed me to trim off the overhang. This was adhered to a Cajun Craze cardbase to coordinate with one of the tile colours.
The pretty scalloped edges of the tiles were calling out for pretty flowers, which I pulled from Sentimental Park. Stamping and Heat Embossing White onto Shimmery White cardstock, I die cut a number of flowers. A Blender Pen helped me to add a touch of ink to each of the flowers.
With a theme of Lots of Thanks, I stamped a simple sentiment onto a Very Vanilla panel. This panel was adhered with Dimensionals and the flowers clustered around it. A simple loop of Pool Party ribbon was added behind the flowers with a sprig of leaves.
I hope you have enjoyed my share today and that I’ve inspired you to create using simple die shapes. Be sure to head over to my Instagram account to follow our Instahop shared by the rest of the Team.
