Today we’re going Around the World on Wednesday with a Team Colour Challenge.
Welcome, and if you’ve hopped over from my dear friend Aurélie, then I know you’ll have been spoilt to some fabulous inspiration.
This array of colours happen to be the favourites of the Team behind Around the World on Wednesday. Our Colour challenge this month was to pick just three of these colours to create with and this is what I came up with.
The richness of Starry Sky for the base of this card brings such warmth and really draws you in. Both Mint Macaron and Rich Razzleberry are two colours I seldom use but thoroughly enjoyed pairing up with Starry Sky. The favourite colour I had submitted was actually Pool Party, but I decided not to use this.
Creating my card
Using Starry Sky Ink and Night of Navy, I darkened the edges of my matting layer up with a Blending Brush. My flowers came from the Love for you Bundle, that were stamped using Rich Razzleberry and heat embossed Clear before die cutting. This gave a fabulous sheen and depth of colour. The same technique was used to stamp my Mint Macaron leaves.
Assembling my card started with a base of Vellum Die cut leaves from the Poppy Moments Dies. Adding Gold Foil cardstock to Foam Adhesive Sheeting, I was able to die cut deeper words to team with a skinny sentiment extension.
Rich Razzleberry Blends were perfect to colouring the Paler Pink Solid Faceted Gems for the flowers.
