Artisan Design Team create with Around the Bend

The Artisan Design Team have been creating with the Around the Bend Bundle from the January to April Mini Catalogue.

I wanted to show a slightly different way of using the curved die within the die set.

A Field of Flowers

Blending some Flirty Flamingo Ink around the edge of a layer of Blushing Bride, helped bring an element of mood to the background. A few white heat embossed sprigs were added for subtle detail in the background.

Cutting the curved shape from Granny Apple Green allowed for a great backdrop for a field of flowers. Some additional die cut leaves were added but an abundance of flowers were scattered. Using a Sponge Dauber and some Daffodil Delight Ink, I was able to add depth to the centre of my larger flowers.

Adding touches of the Gold Fine shimmer Cardstock, age for a subtle touch of elegance. A bow of Elegant Trim was added over a White crinkle ribbon bow. To coordinate with the Gold touches, I heat embossed my sentiment Gold.

A Happy Card

My second card was set upon a punch Daffodil Delight card and matting layer. I wanted to showcase the smaller dies within the set and create a young, bold and cheerful card.

Using the same colours by in reverse, I scattered Flirty Flamingo flowers across my Daffodil Delight cardbase. Touches of Gold Shimmer, once again added that touch of elegance and lift.

To keep this card young and fresh, I kept the sentiment simple. I was delighted with the playful outcome of this set and the vibrancy of the colours that were so uplifting.
