Two-Tone Flora Facebook Live

This week’s Facebook Live had me creating with the Two-Tone Flora Bundle for a milestone Birthday card.  Having designed and used this bundle earlier in the week in Class, I wanted to create with it some more.

A Fabulously floral suite with a stamp set that offers Two-Step Stamping, it’s a delight to create with. Positively feminine, it was perfect to create for a friends upcoming 50th Birthday. Firstly I recreated a simply stamped card with a self producing sentiment panel, similar to one we’d created in class.

Self Producing Sentiment Panel

A frugal way of stepping up an otherwise single layer card, is to create a Self Producing Sentiment Panel. Stamping the flowers and adding a sentiment, I die cut this sentiment and raised it upon Dimensionals. Doing this keeps the images in tact, whilst adding height and interest to an otherwise flat card. A simple technique but an effective one.

The Florals within this suite were just perfect for producing a feminine 50th Birthday Card. The deep Evening Evergreen base allowed the bright and cheerful flowers to sing. With golden tones of Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight, my sentiment just had to be Gold.

Very Vanilla Sprigs were punched from the Bough punch and nested within the flowers. Cut down lattice work was adhered to my cardbase for texture and interest. A wonderful place to grow flowers. Stamping my flowers on coloured cardstock, took away the stark white edge you often get.

To complete my card, I die cut the 50 from the Alphabet a la Mode Die set using Foam Adhesive sheets and Gold Foil. This helped add dimension, where my heat embossed Happy Birthday sentiment sat. This was taken from the Something Fancy Stamp Set and cut down very narrow.

A final scattering of Gold Embellishments and my card were complete.
