Last week’s Facebook Live saw me creating with the Sweetest Cherries Bundle from the Annual Catalogue.
Eager to focus on the new crafter, I took myself back to what I enjoyed creating with when I was first introduced to Stampin’ Up! Products. A stamp set and coordinating punch was always a delight to craft with. The Sweetest Cherries stamp set and coordinating punch help create some fun, quick and simple cards that I just loved creating during my Facebook Live.
This first card saw me use the Hinge Step Stamping Technique with the Stamparatus. Stamping the lowest word ‘Sweet’ first, I repeatedly stamped to make the colour as dark as possible before moving upwards. The next I stamped just the once and the top I stamped with a slightly paler colour. By moving the platform one hinge up at a time (Hinge Step Stamping) I was able to create this evenly spaced ombre effect.
One large Stamped and Punched cherry was added with dimensionals, alongside the remaining sentiment stamped in Black.
Creating your own DSP
Loving this Cherry image so much, I decided to repeatedly stamp it over a white matting layer to create my own DSP. Big, bold and juicy, I loved the overall effect. A suggestion was made to heat emboss Black my sentiment, which seemed most appealing. I loved the bold way that this stood out in glossy black ink.
The sentiment extension was heat embossed white on black cardstock and fussy cut. This was then added with Dimensionals to sit upon a thin strip of Dandy Designer Series Paper.
The Dandy Designer Series Paper is a FREE Pack of paper that’s available during Sale-a-Bration with a £90 spend. Sale-a-Bration runs until the end of February and allows you to choose FREE product with every £45 spent.
Finally, using more of the Dandy Designer Series Paper, I showed how you can easily create a PillowBox from any pattern paper. An embellished focal point and my gift box were complete.
Don’t these cherries pop off the page? If you missed this Facebook Live and you wanted to head back to watch on Replay, you can do so by following this link HERE.
