The Artisan Design Team have been creating with the Country Floral Lane Suite this month. I share the creations that I came up with using this suite as part of my first Artisan post for 2023. A beautiful suite of hearts and flowers and one that offers the ease of a simple punch.
Here I share more detailed images of my creations, which I hope you’ll enjoy.
My first card saw me step back in time to a card layout I used many years ago and some fun bunting. A string of differing shaped bunting and a simple sentiment heat embossed onto a label turned side on.
To blend the striped heart with the fussy cut floral heat, I stamped with two colours. Using Sponge Daubers, I first inked up the heart using Petal Pink before adding Sweet Sorbet to the one side. This helped give an ombre effect.
Adding texture can be as simple as adhering punched shapes to your matting layer, which is what I did here. The smaller punched hearts worked really well here as a faux embossed panel and paired well with the focal images.
The heart detailed edging from the paper with the little bicycles on, beautifully edged the panel of blue paper used. This card was made purely from Designer Series Paper, since all of the hearts and leaves were punched from DSP. I clustered all of the hearts in behind my heat embossed sentiment banner and added a scattering of sequins.
Gifts can often be given around Valentines Day and it’s nice to be able to coordinate the packaging to your card. Here I used the same Balmy Blue paper from the Country Floral Lane pack, as my second card to create a Pillowbox. With no Die required, I folded and used a plate to create the ends to my box. A simple little box that I embellished with the main floral heart from the Stamp Set.
Inking the heart with Sponge Daubers allowed me to variate the colours, again blending Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet for the flowers. With no die, I simply fussy cut with my paper snips before adding a stamped and punched striped heart and a very simple sentiment.
The volume of ribbon used on this box, helped to make it feel even more special. Crumb Cake helped ground the colours and the sequins lift with some sparkle.
I really hope you have enjoyed my first Artisan share and that you’ll consider this bundle.
