Today we’re going Around the World on Wednesday as we CAS(e) the Mini Duo.
Welcome, and if you’ve joined me from my dear friend Aurélie, then you’ll have been spoilt to inspiration already.
This month we CASE the Mini Duo, as in the new January to April Mini Catalogue and the Sale-a-Bration Flyer. CASE from one or the other, or even merge the two.
I decided to base my creation on a card from the Mini Catalogue and a card from the Sale-a-Bration Flyer. By merging the two ideas, I came up with this.
Taking a pair of scissors to my Stamp Set, I separated out the words and repeatedly stamped ‘Love you’ in Versamark over my matting layer. To allow my sentiment to pop, I stamped the same words in Sweet Sorbet onto white cardstock before die cutting. These were added to a Stylish Shape Circular Die Cut panel.
Changing the Colour of Twine and Embellishments
Stampin’ Blends Pens, being Alcohol based, are perfect for changing up the colour of Twine and Embellishments. Using Balmy Blue to add colour to the twine and sweet sorbet for the Heart shaped Pearls, brought added coordination.
These Adorable Owls that are FREE with a Qualifying order of £45, were stamped using Memento Ink and coloured using more Alcohol Blends Pens before fussy cutting.
Finally a sentiment extension was stamped and heat embossed onto black cardstock and embellishments added.
Over all, I was really pleased with how this card turned out from the merging of these two cards. I hope you like what I’ve come up with and shared with you today.
