Last week’s Facebook Live saw me get creative with the Yeti to Party Stamp Set. A fun stamp set that caught my eye from the word go.
Hearing how others didn’t quite warm to the Yeti in the way I had, I knew I needed to showcase this set slightly differently. For my first card I decided to focus on images within the set that were anything but the Yeti.
Blending some Balmy Blue ink across a matting layer, I then used the snowflake images to randomly stamp in the same colour. Using 1st and 2nd generation stamping gave two different depths of colour, adding interest. The cups were stamped with Real Red and die cut before elevating on Dimensionals. A night of navy sentiment completed my card, which would be perfect for that recipient you may have bought a Coffee Voucher card for.
I couldn’t showcase this set without using the Yeti, so here, I focused on the background. A snowflake matting layer embossed using the Wintry 3D Embossing folder and a die cut circular focal point. This I blended with Balmy Blue and Night of Navy ink before splattering with white ink.
Two stamped and die cut mountains and one Yeti ready to party later and I was ready for a sentiment. This card needed a pop of colour, so I brought in red with white heat embossing on and did some word piecing. A fun card that wasn’t time consuming.
A Snow Globe
My final card saw me create this fun Snowglobe. I die cut a background panel that I adhered my two mountains to before splattering with white ink. The base of the globe was created with both a solid layer and die cut panel of Soft Suede cardstock. The die cut panel and the dies for the trees come from the Gingerbread House Dies. Two different shades of green were used with a die shape I particularly liked from the Gingerbread House Dies.
The Globe was mounted upon a matting layer of Snowflake Specialty Vellum and a layer of Window sheet simulated the glass dome. The sentiment for this card seemed so appropriate and was again heat embossed white on Night of Navy.
Three quite different cards that I really enjoyed creating and hope you like.
