This week’s Global Design Project #GDP365 is a colour Combo challenge. Its often nice to start your project with a colour combo or a sketch challenge.
The moment I saw these colours I could see winter berries. Using Petal Pink as my matting layer, I added die cut detail using the Fond of Autumn Dies. Covering up one side, I chose to stamp my sentiment onto a Stitched White Circle. My sentiment came from the Merriest Moments Stamp Set and was stamped in Poppy Parade to stand out.
Stamping the main Fond of Autumn image onto white cardstock with Memento Ink, I coloured with Blends Pens. To achieve the little white spot on each berry, which helps give the illusion of light, the Colour Lifter was used.
The Die for this section, cuts the image into pieces suitable for layering around a sentiment like this. A beautiful swish of ribbon was set beneath the sentiment in the same Petal Pink colour as the card. A few sequins scattered and my card was complete.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my inspiration and that perhaps you’ll have a go at joining in this challenge. The weekly Global Design Project challenge helps ignite your creative juices at the start of the week. I’ve enjoyed creating this and I hope you’ll seek inspiration from the rest of the Global Design Project #365.
