Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop, where this month we share Tweets and Treats with you.
If you’ve hopped over from the lovely Julie Beltramo, then you’ll have already been treated to some fabulous inspiration.
I decided to make use of the Sweet Gingerbread Bundle to make some Christmas Treats. Seeing these little Gingerbread men in Marks & Spencers, had me creating with these in mind.
Gingerbread House Treat Holder
Stamping onto a Crumb Cake Die cut House shape with Crumb Cake Ink, I first stamped the door and window frames. Using Versamark Ink, I added the scrolls that sit above the windows and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.
To allow the door, windows and roof overhang to stand out, I stamped onto white cardstock before die cutting and adhering to my house. This allowed the colours to sing out and more white detailing to be apparent.
Creating a little internal box the same width as the house, I added a plain house panel to the back and the decorated one to the front. The addition of the sentiment panel coming from the chimney, was added to the back chimney pot and roof ridge.
Use as a table setting or simply a treat holder, you could fill yours with whatever treats you fancied.
Wanting to show a different way of using the Sweet Gingerbread House Die shape, I set to using it as a tag.
Peekaboo Treat Bag
These cute Peekaboo Treat Bags are food safe and the perfect size to take four of these cute Gingerbread men. Using Stampin’ Write Markers, I inked up the mini wreath before stamping and die cutting. This allowed me to use more than one colour for this image. Making a hole at the top of the house, allowed me to thread the twine though and tie in a bow.
The curved die from the set was used on a scrap of white cardstock and then cut again using the base of the house die. Adhering this to the bottom gave the appearance of a snow bank that a single Coastal Cabana tree was added.
Two very simple little projects that would have you create little treat gifts in no time at all using just one bundle.
Now hop on over to see what my dear friend Elizabeth Price has to share.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of the hop and yet more treats.
