Welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop, where this month we share everything Gold.
If you’ve hopped over from the from Barb Pfeffer, then I’m sure you’ve Gold before your eyes now.
I share a project with plenty of Gold Heat Embossing, combined with Ink Blending and Gold Embellishments.
Starting with a matting layer of Orchid Oasis, I stamped the series of leaves from the Simply Fabulous Set, with Versamark Ink and Heat Embossed Gold. Blending tonally in darker colours helps to create this halo and paler focal point. Our soft Blending Brushes really help to smooth the ink out. My darkest blue used was Night of Navy. I didn’t want too much of this, as I wanted a much warmer, richer feel.
Setting this on a matting layer of Gold Foil, helped to frame this layer. Before adhering, It was helpful and less wasteful to punch out some leaves from the centre of the Gold Foil. The Bough punch offered great coordinating leaves for this project. Adhering over the top and the punched out foil shapes within the foil, were now hidden.
This Simply Fabulous sentiment seemed only right to use and on a scrap of warm Melon Mambo. An Elegant Trim Gold Bow and the punched out leaves were scattered beneath of sentiment. Finally an Open Leaf Trinket was added for further Gold texture and interest. I do hope you like the overall finished look of this card.
Now hop on over to see what fabulous Gold Themed project Elizabeth is sharing today.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of the hop.
