Were you around to enjoy my Simply Fabulous Facebook Live recently?
Hosted over a week ago, I showed how you could create four cards using the Simply Fabulous Stamp Set, Biggest Wishes set and a series of colourful inks.
Starting very peeled back, I layered some Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper over a cardbase before adding a sentiment. A very clean and simple little card that could be created in no time at all.
My second card saw me layer up two panels to create a series of flowers in the distance and some in the foreground.
There was an element of fussy cutting needed for this card, as I cut around the flowers and leaves.
2nd Generation Stamping
I used 2nd Generation stamping for the background flowers. This is achieved when you stamp off the image onto your Grid or snap paper before using what inks is left. This lessens the density of the ink, giving a paler, tonally the same, inked image.
My third card saw me create a cluster of flowers that would sit behind a sentiment panel. This card brings in the use of a punch for this sentiment but is otherwise, Stamps, Ink and Paper.
A sweet little trio of cards and not a Die Cut image in sight.
Since the Biggest Wishes stamp set was also on offer this particular day, I decided to team it up with Simply Fabulous for this final bonus card. This card saw me make use of the Stamparatus to achieve the hinge step stamping technique.
Hinge Step Stamping
Using the Stamparatus, I set up my Birthday sentiment and stamped the top darkest image before hinge stepping. Bringing the stamping plate down a hinge step, allowed me to re-stamp the image, using 2nd Generation stamping, and then again, for 3rd Generation. The ombre effect that this creates is wonderful as a background.
Taking some fussy cut stamped flowers and leaves from the Simply Fabulous set, I added these to finish my embellishment of this card. A bright and cheerful card that could be recreated in any colour way.
