“Hey You Did It” … Yes I did … This week’s Facebook Live finally saw me share my love of using Watercolour Pencils. Upon popular request, I shared my childhood love of colouring with soft Watercolour Pencils.
We all have our preferred methods and all get us from A to B but upon popular request, I shared mine. Our Watercolour pencils are super soft and blend so beautifully. With two different packs that coordinate with our colour families it’s still so easy to maintain coordination.
I like to use these pencils dry but you can use a Blender Pen or a Water Painter with them to smooth out the colours and any lines further. I also don’t like to sharpen my pencils but do as I call …. “Season to taste”. Just like seasoning a good wok or frying pan, I like to work the pencil nib, taking away the harsh point and seasoning it to a softer one.
New Coordinating Dies launch 1st September
Each image was stamped with Black Memento Ink onto Basic White cardstock before colouring. Once coloured, I die cut the image using the new Playful Piggy Dies, available through my online store from 1st September. Buy a Starter Kit today and you could add these to your basic like many other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are doing right now.
Not only do these Dies cut the stamped images but they offer many other shapes and accessories to accompany them like the Bunting I used in my first card.
Free Sale-a-Bration Products
During Sale-a-Bration we get to choose FREE Products to add to our basket for every £45 spent (some products require a £90 spend). The Amazing Phrases Stamp Set is yours FREE with a £90 order and offers just that and was perfectly playful to accompany these Playful pigs.
My second card was designed for someone who had perhaps just passed a driving test, a bike test or other accomplishment. I love how you can piece your sentiments using this set to create something of your choice.
A circular backdrop helped identify my focal point, which I created from FREE Silver & Gold Designer Series Paper. This paper offers both Gold and Silver foiling in both stripes and spots and is yours Free with a £45 order.
Here I die cut a circle and used both Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay ink to blend a subtle ombre effect. I particularly like how this works on my second card but my first offers all the colour that a Birthday Party would.
