You Can Create it with New Horizon and Butterfly Brilliance

You Can Create it this month with our Quarterly Papercraft kit and New Horizon Papers. I team these papers up with the Butterfly Brilliance.

This month’s kit we are creating with the New Horizon Papers and I decided to use them in a way that really wasn’t obvious. When the reverse side of the New Horizon papers was mottled, it was perfect for die cutting butterflies from.

Here I have sponged the edges of a Rich Razzleberry matting layer with the same colour ink and a shade darker. To give interest to the background, I stamped the large Butterfly Brilliance image using Rich Razzleberry ink. Flicking white ink and wink of Stella broke up the background even further.

Die cutting the butterflies from the Designer Series Paper, I added three to sit across my cardbase. My sentiment was stamped using the same colour ink onto the Linen cardstock that I die cut into a tag shape. The Tailor Made Tags give a beautiful stitched edge, which helped give a delicate feel to this card.

I finished the detail off with some Gold Simply Elegant Trim and Brushed Metallic Butterflies.

My second card was created by die cutting another piece of the Designer Series Paper into both a solid and skeleton butterfly. This was sat upon an Embossed White layer where I’d used the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folder.

Linen Cardstock was again used and Die cut into a stitched tag before adding to the base of the butterfly.

Not a Horizon image in sight but making use of the colours within the papers for another method, which I hope you like.
