Stampin’ Fancy Friday – Catalogue Inspired

The Stampin’ Fancy Friday Challenge this month has us seeking inspiration from the Catalogue for our Catalogue inspired creations.

Welcome to the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Team Challenge and one that saw me inspired by the fresh colours of a card on page 72. Wanting to team up the flowers from the Hues of Happiness suite, I set to work creating this card.

Starting with a matting layer of Watercolour Paper and a white Water Painter, I swished three colours of ink across the paper. Starting with Blushing Bride at the bottom, So Saffron to the middle and Pool Part to the top. This top colour coordinated beautifully with the cardbase I had chosen to use.

Having allowed this to day, I then used the Stitched with Whimsy die to add some stitched detail around the edges. This detail was delicate and just enough.

Dies from the Happiness Abounds Bundle work beautifully to cut the flowers from the coordinating Designer Series Paper. With a flower for each section, I set to adhering them in place with Dimensionals.

A simple White Heat Embossed sentiment on Crumb Cake cardstock was added with a lace ribbon trim for that vintage vibe. The new In color Embellishments teamed beautifully with each colour block that I’d chosen to work with.
