This past week had me Stamp Together to create a Summer Wreath project using the Eden and Lighthouse Dies. This is a project from a series that I have been running throughout the year.
We used the Eden Dies to create a subtle white wreath for the backdrop to this project. Backed with woodgrain from the Timber Embossing Folder, this was all about texture.
Simplicity is often best and strips of cardstock were used to create the sea in three shades of blue. Nothing more simple than that right?
The Horizon Dies cut perfect Long Grasses, Sand Dunes and a Picket Fence. Stamping the fence panel with the woodgrain image from On the Horizon Stamp Set, helped show interest and texture.
The lighthouse itself was cut from three different colours and layered to create what you see. Sponging down one side helped simulate shadow and bring this project to life.
Nesting the Lighthouse amongst the sand dunes, I finished the project off with two wooden posts bound together with twine. These were created by again using the Timber Embossing Folder.
Quite a different style of wreath for our Summer version and one that the ladies all appeared to enjoy. I hope you’ve enjoyed my share as much as the ladies in class enjoyed creating it.
